Plan Left

The Account Manager is responsible for working with multiple clients and Plan Left staff to execute projects spanning the entire services lifecycle. The role is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, nurturing and growing those accounts. You will also plan and oversee the execution of client projects, oversee and manage budgets, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization.

Qualified individuals will have both a creative and technical background as well as a demonstrated track record of success in project management or consulting. This is not an entry-level position. Experience as a project manager or account manager is required.

Please note that this is a senior marketing role, not a sales role.

Qualifications

  • Extensive Digital Experience Required
  • Minimum 8 years of agency experience, developing and executing marketing strategies for major B2B and B2C clients.
  • Minimum 3 Years of digital experience including website and application builds.
  • Ability to interview stakeholders and plan website content, site maps, and execution plans from beginning to end.
  • Solid understanding of integrated marketing strategies, including advertising, paid/earned media, digital and creative services
  • Strong passion for and knowledge of digital marketing disciplines
  • Prior experience leading and developing talent for Account Management positions
  • Strong interpersonal and proactive problem-solving skills; ability to successfully maneuver competing demands
  • Strategic ability; capable of developing winning short-term and long-term marketing plans for clients
  • Approaches work with a sense of eagerness, “take ownership” attitude
  • Capacity to work independently, works well under tight deadlines
  • Strong rational thinking, logic and critical reasoning, and analytical problem solving skills are a must.

Essential Job Functions

  • Monitor and grow all client KPIs, including website or foot traffic, social media referrals, and advertising traffic
  • Responsible for all Client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables and revenue
  • Review all major deliverables (i.e. strategic brief, function spec, website functionality, etc.) to ensure quality standards and Client expectations are met
  • Provide project oversight on Client projects (working with Plan Left and Client project managers)
  • Analyze Client requirements to prepare and present proposals, work orders and change orders
  • Work closely with the project team to maintain a continuous knowledge of project status in order to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project
  • Ensure that Client issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, working with the Project or Production Manager
  • Perform regular two-way communication between the Client and Plan Left team, to provide strong team representation and set proper Client expectations
  • Work with Clients to discover opportunities for additional needs for which Plan Left can provide solutions
  • Understanding of Plan Left’s capabilities and services, and effectively communicate all offerings to the Client and Plan Left team where necessary
  • Attend occasional after-hours industry and networking meet-ups
  • Proposal generation
  • Project Strategy including:
    • Research – Conducting interviews, creating and distributing surveys & questionnaires, evaluating competitors
    • Analysis – Reviewing data and information gathered to formulate recommendations and a plan of action
    • Documentation – Writing Strategic Recommendations Document including the Project Overview, Creative Brief, Technical Specifications, Project Plan
  • Support and train clients on our proprietary software when and where necessary
  • Quality Assurance testing

  • Monitor and grow Plan Left social media and organic traffic.
  • Daily meetings at 8:30am
  • Marketing, Advertising, Creative, and Digital best practices team training
  • Plan Left advertising and marketing
  • Learn and support our proprietary products
  • Create and maintain best practices and procedural documentation for the Plan Left team.

Bonus Experience

  • Experience with Scrum or other agile project management methodologies
  • Experience with Drupal CMS
  • Thorough understanding of the Internet marketing and website development markets
